Hi! My name is John Martin. I am a certified freelance personal trainer based in Quebec, Canada.
I developed an interest in health and weight loss as a teenager after my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was concerned about what that meant so I decided to start researching the area to find out if there was anything she could do naturally to help her manage the condition.
I discovered she had so many options available to her. Unfortunately though, her doctor had never discussed any of them with her! I am happy to say that now her diabetes is well under control; some might even say she is cured! However, as long as she maintains the correct lifestyle habits, she is able to easily keep her blood sugar levels stable.
I also developed an interest in exercise. I run most days, go to the gym, and play various team sports depending on the season. Exercise has become a major focus in my life.
I spend much of my spare time reading, particularly books on nutrition; catching up with family and friends; and spending time with my partner, and cat, Herbie.
This website is designed to share some of what I have learned over the years when it comes to health and weight loss. Even though I have never had a weight problem, I have worked with many people who have. Better still, they have been able to achieve their physical goals with my support and guidance.
Through building this website I hope to share my tips and strategies to help a much broader audience improve their health and achieve their weight-loss goals.
